PERANCANGAN TATA LETAK AREA RECEIVING GUDANG BAN B DI PT. AE DENGAN MENGGUNAKAN METODE SYSTEMATIC LAYOUT PLANNING DAN SOFTWARE BLOCPLAN

Abstract

This study focuses on designing production facility layouts using the Systematic layout planning (SLP) method and Blocplan software. The main problem encountered is an inefficient layout, leading to high travel time and low productivity. The aim of this research is to design a proposed layout that is more efficient in terms of Material Handling and workflow. Research methods include analysis of material flow, Relationships between activities, and the development and evaluation of various layout scenarios using SLP and Blocplan. The research findings indicate that the proposed layout can reduce travel time by 27% and reduce Material Handling cost by 28%. The conclusion of this study is that the application of the SLP method and the use of Blocplan software can result in a more efficient facility layout, with positive implications for increased productivity and overall efficiency.
