PERANCANGAN SISTEM KANBAN AREA COMPOUNDING DEPARTEMENT PREPARATION PT XYZ

Abstrak

The preparation department is a department that produces materials that will be used for the production process such as ADR, UCR, and canvas friction. The preparation area supplies materials to four production departments, namely the long size, short size, raw edge, variable speed department. Therefore, to meet the demand for production materials and so that production runs smoothly, the Kanban system is used. Kanban system is an information system that is used to control the production process of the required product, the amount needed, and when it is needed. The Kanban system used in the preparation area is a manual Kanban system. Therefore, this research will design a web-based Kanban system.

To simplify the Kanban system process in the preparation area, the researchers created a web-based Kanban system. This web will later function to store and access data to make it easier to supervise what materials have been and will be produced in the preparation area. The information system that will be used in making the web is PHP and MySQL as data storage. In making this web-based Kanban system, researchers used Microsoft visual studio code as the design design and software to create the web page. With a web-based Kanban system, it is expected to reduce cycle time when the operator wants to check ROP and reduce motion waste when the operator returns the Kanban card to the board.
