ANALISIS TERJADINYA DEFECT JOINT PLY UNDER PADA PROSES PERAKITAN BAN MENGGUNAKAN PENDEKATAN PLAN-DO-CHECK-ACTION (PDCA) PADA PT. KLM

Abstrak

The success of a product depends on the quality of the product itself. A good product must meet the specifications and standards that have been set. PT KLM as a manufacturer of car tires, of course, really prioritizes the quality of its products. PT KLM has a quality problem, namely a defect in the ply material connection. This type of defect is known as Joint ply under. The temporary cause of the Joint ply under is the human factor not checking the connection on the ply material. Based on defect data for the period January 1, 2021 to March 31, 2021, the Joint ply under defect as the highest contributor to scrap in the tire assembly department was 114 pcs. Based on the analysis conducted using the Plan-Do-Check-Action (PDCA) method, the causes of the defect are human, machine and method factors. To prevent errors from humans and methods, a Field Work Instruction or Instruksi Kerja Lapangan that has been adapted to the existing process on the machine will be made.
