Abstract

The more advanced the development of human civilization, electricity is turning into a very important requirement of daily activities. Almost all activities carried out by humans are related to electricity, starting from electricity for residents, public facilities and even the manufacturing industry. PT ABC has a goal, namely to continue to improve efficiency and effectiveness in producing its products, namely in the form of cables by removing unnecessary activities and excessive movements so that the process does not waste a long time. To achieve this goal, improvements are needed to reduce the waste that occurs in the cable wrapping process. To find out the waste that occurs in the cable wrapping process, we conducted a waste analysis using the theory of the line manufacturing approach with the VSM (value stream mapping) and PAM current state (Process Activity Mapping Process) methods with the aim of carrying out the research we have done will result in the form of being able to find out the waste that occurs in the cable wrapping process. So that the waste that occurs in the cable wrapping process can be minimized or eliminated.
