ANALISIS NILAI HIRADC PROSES SHEETING OPEN MILL DENGAN MODIFIKASI ALAT PEMOTONG COMPOUND DENGAN PENDEKATAN ERGONOMI

Mixing is a mixture of various materials including natural rubber, synthetic rubber, oil, and chemical to produce a compound. Compound is the main raw material in the manufacture of tires. In the compound manufacturing process, there is a sheeting compound process on an open mill machine, where the compound is formed into sheets before entering the cooling process. Before the modification of the sheeting compound process on the open mill machine was carried out manually by lifting and moving the knife so that it had a REBA value of 6 where the reba value was moderate and the HIRADC value was 8 and 6 where the value was moderate. In this study, using an ergonomic approach with anthropometric and REBA methods in modifying the cutter on an open mill machine to reduce the HIRADC value. Modifications are made so that workers do not need to manually set the open mill cutter while the machine is running. The results of this study obtained that the height of the selector switch to raise and lower the cutter on an open mill machine is 107 cm which uses the 50th percentile or the average percentile. The REBA value after modification is 2 where this value is low. The HIRADC value in the open mill sheeting process in the open mill machine fell to 4 at the risk level to a low risk level.t
